BASIC SAFETY WORK RULES

Drugs and/or alcohol are prohibited on the project site.
Approved and unaltered hard hats and sturdy work boots are required at all times in all work areas.
Sleeveless shirts and short pants will not be permitted.
Approved (ANSI Z87.1-1968) safety glasses/goggles eye protection shall be worn at all times in all work areas.
Hearing protection shall be worn in all high noise areas or while performing high noise tasks.
Approved respiratory protection shall be worn as required.
Proper gloves are required when handling material that cuts, burns, or contaminates the skin.
Employees working on unguarded or unprotected work platforms six (6) feet or more above the ground shall wear safety harnesses/PFAS.
Do not climb on or work from any handrail, midrail, or crossbrace of a scaffold. Appropriate ladder access shall be used as per OSHA 1926.451.
Inspect all ladders for damage or defects before use. Stepladders will only be used in the fully opened position.
Extension ladder feet and job-made ladders must be set on a secure surface and tied off at the top.
Good housekeeping shall be practiced at all times.
Clean up spills inmediately and remove oily, flammable, or combustible waste rags.
Access to safety and fire-fighting equipment shall be kept clear at all times. Learn how to use an extinguisher before it is needed.
Gasoline equipment shall not be refueled when running.
Every tool is designed for a specific use -inspect before use and do not misuse/abuse.
Horseplay, fighting, gambling, and stealing will not be tolerated.
All electrical extension cords shall be of the three-wire type and heavy duty.
No employee, other than the operator, shall ride on mobile equipment or the rear of any trucks.
Immediately report all near misses, accidents, and injuries to a supervisor
or safety representative.
Smoking is prohibited near or around flammable materials.
The public must be protected during all phases of work.

Estas son las reglas basicas de seguridad en el trabajo del proyecto de la terminal norte del Aeropuerto de Miami.

En primer lugar observen que ESTA ESCRITO EN INGLES pues este es el idioma oficial de U.S.A. Entonces nosotros los hispanos debemos tener conocimiento del idioma; en cuanto llegamos si no entendemos, ni escribimos, ni leemos el INGLES pongamonos a estudiar este bello lenguaje.

En segundo lugar observen la parte baja donde dice, "I have read and will comply..." este es un compromiso legal de parte del trabajador de cumplir con las reglas de seguridad en el trabajo. Para aquellos que vienen con la idea de demandar para obtener dinero se meten ellos mismos en una trampa que al final les hara perder todo.

Y aquellos que firman documentos en INGLES sin saber que es lo que estan firmando se esclavizan a si mismos.

Si aprendes el INGLES te conviertes en una persona bilingue; y si eres bilingue tienes muchas ventajas sobre los que solamente hablan un idioma.

En lo personal cuando me toca dar esta orientacion LA DOY EN CASTELLANO a los hispanos y en INGLES a los nativos; en la misma sesion/hora -la presentacion la hago en los dos idiomas.
Ademas la OSHA nos indica que debemos entrenar al trabajador segun su idioma. Asi que si te dan empleo sabiendo que eres hispano y que no sabes el INGLES -el empleador esta obligado por ley a darte el entrenamiento/orientacion de seguridad en tu idioma.
